These top-quality panels have already found buyers in neighbouring countries as well as in Austria and Slovenia, the company told Akta.ba.
Construction of the new production and sales premises, covering approx. 10,000 m2 of indoor and 5,000 m2 of outdoor space, began in August last year. The estimated value of the investment is 12,000,000 KM.
The newly built line is 240 metres long and produces polyurethane panels with a PUR core, the standard system, and the PIR fire-protection system, in thicknesses from 30 to 200 mm and lengths of up to 16 metres.
“We are happy because in a short time we have achieved top-quality products that have found buyers in neighbouring countries as well as in Austria and Slovenia. During the test period Alternativa’s employees worked actively with foam technologists from the German company BASF and with installers from the Italian equipment supplier to achieve top product quality. Training and education of employees for efficient production have been carried out, which will help us a great deal in the period ahead,” the company said.
The factory was started up at the end of July, and during trial operation in August alone 45,000 m2 of thermal panels of various shapes and sizes were produced.
The company said that more than 30 types of thermal insulation panels were produced during trial production: five-rib roof panels 30 to 150 mm thick, hidden-fix facade panels 600 to 1,000 mm wide and 50 to 120 mm thick, wall panels 600 to 1,150 mm wide and 30 to 200 mm thick, and cold-store panels 80 to 200 mm thick.
“All panels can also be made with flexible materials on one side, such as fibreglass, aluminium foil, bitumen membrane, paper and the like. From now on our customers will be able to choose from several profile shapes, such as micro-profile, lamella, flat sheet and others,” the company said.
