At the beginning of October Alternativa produced its first million square metres of thermal insulation panels. The new factory was started up in August 2017. Production runs on state-of-the-art equipment from a renowned global manufacturer specialised in this kind of production. The line is 240 metres long and fully automatic. The raw material suppliers are also the world’s best companies in this field.
Credit for Alternativa’s stable development and notable result goes above all to everyone who has placed their trust in us all this time, and to our employees who, through continuous work, international training and cooperation with the most eminent research institutes in Europe, have properly mastered these technologies. By granting scholarships to talented students and constantly developing our employees, we have built a wealth of Alternativa staff. We have set up our own laboratory, where we test and check the quality of our products every day. These days we are completing certification to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard and the CE mark.

The products we offer the market today have been rated as top-quality products and as such have found their place with the most demanding customers in the region. We plan to expand into the markets of Austria and Germany. Ten years of experience, and all the consequences that came with discontinuous production, were valuable experience in fully mastering production on the new continuous line. Thanks to top quality, we reached the first millionth square metre of polyurethane thermal insulation panels much earlier than we expected.

We hold all the certificates required by the competent institutions for the products we sell in the region, and we are in the process of obtaining additional certificates for export to European Union countries.
The entire range is produced in the Famos industrial zone in Hrasnica, Sarajevo, while single-skin sheets are produced at the production and sales centre in Banja Luka. Alternativa has also opened a company in Belgrade, through which it distributes the complete range to the markets east of BiH.
