Bat-wing snow guard
A snow guard keeps the snow where it fell. Without one, the accumulated mass melts from underneath and at some point breaks away as a whole sheet — over the eaves, onto the gutter, onto the entrance and onto whatever stands below. The bat-wing is the individual type: it is set out in a row above the eaves and fixed with a single screw through the middle. Two side wings reach into the snow cover and hold it in place, while the saddle bears on the profile of the covering so that the piece sits on the roof without packing.
