Trapezoidal sheets for roofs and façades
Trapezoidal sheets manufactured by Alternativa d.o.o. Sarajevo are designed for roof covering and façade cladding. They are used in industrial construction and residential construction, from production halls and warehouses to houses, garages and canopies. The appropriate profile depends on the building’s use, the spacing between supports and the expected loads.
Where are trapezoidal sheets used?
Trapezoidal profiled sheets are used on industrial halls, residential and commercial buildings, shopping centres, warehouses, agricultural buildings and outbuildings. Depending on the technical characteristics of the selected profile, they can serve as a roof covering or wall cladding.
Made to measure and choice of materials
Sheets are manufactured to the required length, profile and colour. Production to specified dimensions reduces unnecessary cutting and material waste and makes accurate installation easier. A water drainage groove contributes to the proper functioning of the roof covering.
Production uses galvanised, colour-coated steel sheet, with aluminium, galvanised steel and stainless steel sheets also available for profiling. Sheet thickness and material should match the chosen profile and the project requirements.
Fastening and professional installation
Trapezoidal sheets are secured in the lower part of the profile using suitable sheet-metal fixing screws with neoprene washers. Screws can be selected in the desired colour and to suit timber, metal or concrete structures. Installation should be carried out by trained professionals following the technical instructions for the specific profile and supporting structure.
Load-bearing capacity and test documentation
The load-bearing capacity of the profiles has been verified by IMK, the Institute for Materials and Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo.
