Snow guard
The snow guard is not fixed through the covering but hooked on: the long arm runs under the tile above, and the bent end catches over the roof batten and passes the load to it. At the lower end of the arm sits a triangular stop — that is what actually holds the snow. There is also a hole through the arm for a screw, where extra securing is wanted. The covering is left unpierced, so there is no place for water to get in.

It is set out in a row above the eaves; the spacing and the number of rows depend on the pitch of the roof and the snow load of the area.
