Alternativa d.o.o. Sarajevo has once again been ranked among the 100 largest companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The recognition was awarded in the large enterprise category, based on business results achieved in 2025.

Alternativa d.o.o. Sarajevo has joined the humanitarian campaign “A Meal for All”, run by the Pomozi.ba organisation, with a decision to donate BAM 10,000.00. The campaign lets company employees voluntarily donate the value of one hot meal and thereby provide a meal for someone in need.

Alternativa d.o.o. has been named one of the TOP 3 most desirable employers in the metal sector for 2025, according to research by MojPosao.ba. The recognition follows an extensive survey in which a large number of respondents from across the country chose the companies they would most like to work for.

Alternativa d.o.o. is today the largest producer of thermal insulation panels in South-East Europe, with an annual capacity of more than 5,000,000 m² of panels and 45,000 tonnes of coated sheet processed. From a small trading shop with two employees to a regional leader no serious project passes by.

Founded in 1997 as a small trading company, Alternativa d.o.o. Sarajevo is today one of the largest producers of thermal insulation panels in South-East Europe, processing around 45,000 tonnes of coated sheet a year.

According to the official list of the “100 largest exporters in Bosnia and Herzegovina” published by Poslovne novine, Alternativa d.o.o. Sarajevo ranks 28th nationwide by total export value — and is the only thermal insulation and sandwich panel producer among the top 30 exporters.

Our director had the honour of attending a meeting between representatives of the business sector and the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, his deputies, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts.
