On Wednesday, 4 August 2021, a voluntary blood donation drive was held at Alternativa’s premises. As a socially responsible company, Alternativa feels a responsibility towards the community and gladly supports drives of this kind. Every year a considerable number of our employees answer the call for this humane act.
The Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Federation of BiH expressed its gratitude for the drive and pointed out that blood cannot be produced artificially, so voluntary blood donors are the only source of supply and the only true link between the healthy and the sick part of the population.
Dr Dinela Džanko says that every unit of blood saves three lives; she was pleased with today’s drive and calls on everyone who is able to donate blood to do so.
