Gutter
The gutter collects the water running off the roof and carries it to the outlet. It hangs on brackets nailed to the roof deck and is set with a slight fall, so that water never stands in it. The front edge is beaded — that is what gives the strip of sheet the stiffness not to spread or twist under the weight of water, snow and ice.
