This is borne out by the fact that record revenue and profit were recorded, and that exports grew by as much as 43%. This performance on the foreign market owes most to the implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, the CE mark and the certificates required for exporting to the most demanding markets of Western Europe and the region.
In 2019 we also took on 17 new employees.
Last year will be remembered for the landmark two-millionth square metre of thermal insulation panels, produced on state-of-the-art equipment and a new automatic line.
We are richer by two new production lines as well: a line for producing thermal insulation panels with a rock wool core, and a line for producing bends for rainwater drainage, external and internal corner pieces and connecting hoppers, which completes Alternativa’s production programme in this field.
We also bought a new warehouse of 3,300 m², which will greatly speed up production processes and contribute to the speed of delivery of thermal insulation panels.
Last year’s investment cycle was rounded off by the project to reconstruct the panel storage yard with an industrial access road, covering a total of 8,500 m², which began in September.
Plans for 2020 include strengthening exports to the countries of the region, expanding the sales network in Western European countries, and breaking into new markets.
Also, during 2020 we will offer the market two new products — but let that remain our little secret, which we will be glad to share when the time comes.
